Ben Noblitt

Ben's 15 years with St. Francis are marked with many examples of extraordinary generosity and genuine care for others.

One example stands out. After an honest conversation with a patient, Ben discovered that she had recently lost her home and everything she owned in a fire. He went beyond empathy. He took action. She would not go home without something that was hers.

That week he went before his church to ask for support. The congregation's response was a resounding yes. Clothing, personal items, a Bible, and money were all collected to meet the desperate need. This story would be incredible if it ended here, but it doesn't. It continues and so did Ben.

He took his idea to Patient Relations and found out that clothing is a need for many patients. The St. Francis Clothing Bank Ministry was created. Ben found a suitable area for storage and clothing donations came pouring in. This ministry helps meet the ongoing need to provide basic necessities for our patients.

In 2017, St. Francis recognized Ben with the Edward H. Stall Compassionate Care Award for his loving gift of finding and meeting personal needs for so many.
