Ways to Give
Annual Giving is the cornerstone of the Foundation.
Annual gifts provide consistent support that enables the continuation and expansion of St. Francis' services within the community. Whether cash or checks, in-kind or investments, real estate or personal property, annual or one-time, it is the continued generosity of people like you that helps us keep the Upstate healthy.
Every gift is meaningful. 100% of your gift supports your area of choice. Operational costs are not deducted. As a small gesture of our gratitude, we established giving societies to recognize the extraordinary generosity of every donor.
A major gift is defined as a contribution of $10,000 or greater.
Major gifts have long been associated with capital campaigns, but are needed for initiatives that may not be associated with a specific fundraising drive.
Major gift contributions may come in the form of a long-term pledge (3-5 years) of stock, an estate gift or cash. A major gift generally allows the donor a naming opportunity whether that be a room, wing, service line, equipment or a fund.
For more information about how to initiate your major gift, please contact our office at (864) 255-1040.
Our Planned Giving Program seeks to make donors aware of the benefits of charitable estate and gift planning options.
Many non-proft organizations depend on planned gifts to help in the ebb and flow of gifts received from annual giving and other development activities. Bon Secours St. Francis Health System has greatly benefited through the years by generous individuals who wanted to help strengthen our ministry in Greenville.
Estate gifts can range from simply leaving St. Francis in your will to a gift annuity, which allows you to receive tax deductions while still keeping an income stream.

A gift in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one speaks of a legacy that only grows and deepens over time.
Contributions such as these are a vital part of the continuation of our mission as we "provide good help" to those in need and reach more people with compassionate care. These expressions of love and admiration will touch many people's lives.
These gifts are acknowledged to both the donor and the family of the remembered person. Gift amounts remain confidential and you may specify a particular fund you would like to support. The name of the donor and the remembered person will be featured in the Honor Roll of Donors in the Foundation Annual Report.
