Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Treatment Center
St. Francis Hospital Downtown
The Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Oncology program – that serves the patient population ages 15 to 39 years old and often times referred to as the “lost generation” – at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System has seen a significant increase in patient volume each year since the program’s inception in 2012.
Because of the increased volume and the challenges faced by the AYA patient population, the Bon Secours St. Francis Foundation has been asked by many in our community to raise the funds needed to create an AYA Inpatient Center at the St. Francis downtown campus.
In addition to 4 inpatient hospital rooms, the AYA Inpatient Center will feature 3 unique health zones focused on nutrition and diet, healthy virtual and physical connectedness/entertainment, and rehabilitation and exercise.
- Kitchen and Family Area
- Resource Center
- Therapy Center
The cost for the AYA Inpatient Center is approximately $1.2 Mil. To date, approximately $720,000 has been raised through generous donations from individuals, businesses, foundations, and community organizations.
Please consider joining us so that we can make a tremendous impact now and for generations to come for this patient population and bring positive outcomes for these teenagers and young adults.
